YUBA CITY – The Sutter County District Attorney’s office sponsored a “John Sting” (Prostitution Sting) operation on March 30 that resulted in two arrests.
The sting was a joint effort involving the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office, Yuba City PD, Colus County DA Office and Colusa County Sheriff’s Office.
24-year-old Sharandeep Singh and 27-year-old Teron Gilkey were arrested and charged with prostitution and were booked into the Sutter County Jail.
The Sutter County District Attorney’s office announced that they “plan to continue these operations in the future in an attempt to reduce the overwhelming demand of Human Trafficking/prostitution in our community.”
