Le targeted the Vacaville Sports Authority, apparently more than once

Vacaville – Khang Le, 35, a resident of Vacaville, was arrested Thursday for felony burglary and felony receipt of stolen property.

Just before 4:00 p.m. Thursday, a sporting goods store in the 1000 block of Helen Power Drive reported a theft to police. The suspect had sped away in a white Dodge truck with a cart full of stolen goods. An alert witness was able to capture the truck’s license plate number as the suspect fled the scene.

Officers went to an address in the 600 block of Brazelton Drive, listed on the truck’s registration, and located the vehicle witnessed at the site of the theft. Inside the suspect’s residence officers also located the goods just stolen from the sports store, as well as a number of other items from the same place of business. After further investigation it was determined that the Khang Le had been committing serial thefts at the same store over a period of weeks. In the process he had accumulated over $4,000 worth of stolen merchandise.

Anyone with further information to contribute regarding this investigation is asked to call the Vacaville Police Department at 707-449-5200.
