Vacaville – A traffic stop in Modesto on January 31, led Vacaville police to arrest Lori Lynn Riley, 34, and William Anthony Riley, 37, both of Fairfield. It also turned out to be the tip of a marijuana operation iceberg.

A seach of the Riley's home revealed a large cache of guns and marijuana

According to police, at the time of the arrest the Rileys had about 50 pounds of processed marijuana with an estimated street value of $250,000, and a hand gun. The suspects were then transported back to their home in the 400 block of Begonia Blvd. in Fairfield, and a search of the home was conducted.

Located at the home were: seven firearms, including a .50-caliber bolt action rifle; more marijuana; and approximately $29,000 in cash. Also located was a three-foot long baby alligator, which was turned over to Solano County Humane Animal Services. The suspects were then booked into Solano County Jail, charged with possession, transportation and intention to sell marijuana and possession of an assault weapon, all felonies, as well as with carrying a firearm in the commission of a felony.

The Riley's housepet as found, and prepared for transport to Animal Services

Resulting from this investigation was the search of two homes in Vallejo with warrants served by Vacaville Narcotics Enforcement and Crime Suppression Teams. No further arrests were made but a approximately 900 marijuana plants were found in indoor growing operations.
