Four teens were arrested last week in Milpitas in connection with two residential burglaries.

According to the Milpitas Police Department, officers and detectives initiated surveillance on a suspicious vehicle in the 2000 block of Seacliff Drive, where they witnessed the four suspects enter two backyards before returning to their vehicle.

Police say officers followed the suspect vehicle, a white 1993 Acura, as it drove through several residential neighborhoods throughout Milpitas and northern San Jose, eventually stopping at a residence in the 1200 block of Burnham Drive. The suspects exited the vehicle and returned several minutes later carrying a large pillowcase with property inside, according to authorities. They then sped away onto Sierra Road.

Further investigation revealed that the house on Burnham Drive had, in fact, been burglarized and officers stopped the suspect vehicle. The four Asian males from San Jose were taken into custody.

Milpitas investigators later learned that attempts were made to break in to the two homes on Seacliff Drive.

The four teens were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on burglary, prowling, and conspiracy charges. One of the teens was also booked on possession of burglary tools and possession of Ecstasy. Police located stolen items worth approximately $10,000 in the suspects’ possession. All of the stolen items were returned to their rightful owners.

Officials say the matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Milpitas police at (408) 586-2400. Those wishing to remain anonymous can call (408) 586-2500.
