SACRAMENTO — A West Sacramento man responsible for at least five bank robberies in four months was sentenced Thursday morning to nearly four years in federal prison.

Jerome Michael Endsley II, 28, pled guilty in August to two counts of bank robbery. As part of his plea agreement, which involves three years and 10 months in prison and a restitution fee of $14,678, Endsley admitted committing three additional robberies during his four-month spree in the Sacramento area.

He was arrested April 15 after he fled the scene of a robbery at a Chase Bank in the at 4700 block of Freeport Boulevard. Endsley pled guilty to that robbery as well as to robbing the Wells Fargo Bank at 3518 Marconi Ave. on March 27.

Endsley later admitted to robbing a United Commercial Bank on Freeport Boulevard on Jan. 2; a Bank of America on Folsom Boulevard on Jan. 27; and another Bank of America on Freeport Boulevard on Feb. 2.

The case was a product of an investigation by the Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force, which includes the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the West Sacramento Police Department, and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
