SAN BERNARDINO – Police said an attempted murder suspect turned himself in Monday morning, three days after reportedly shooting his ex-girlfriend and a man she was living with.

Uribe is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend and her live-in partner at a home in this complex

Arthur Raymond Uribe, 24, was said to have broken into a mobile home on Friday night at 775 East Baseline Rd. Shortly after 11 p.m., police said Uribe broke into the home, shot and injured two people while they were sleeping and fled the scene. Police converged on Uribe’s mobile home, located on the 700 block of East Ninth Street, less than a mile from the site of the shooting.

Reports stated one man was seen leaving the area and detained, but it wasn’t the suspect. A SWAT team appeared at his mobile home, believing Uribe to be inside. Tear gas was shot into the mobile home and police entered the residence, police said, but no one was inside.

Police have yet to release the names of the shooting victims. Uribe’s ex-girlfriend was shot below her right knee, according to reports. The male victim suffered gunshot injuries as well, but neither is considered life-threatening injuries, said police.

Uribe's home in this nearby complex was surrounded by the SWAT team, but he was not present. He later turned himself in.

Sgt. Gary Robertson said Uribe and his ex-girlfriend have two young children, but they recently broke up after a three year relationship.

San Bernardino County court records show that Uribe was convicted of felony vandalism in December 2007, and sentenced to two years. Four years later, in March 2011, he was placed on probation for resisting arrest after serving 30 days in jail.

Uribe was charged with attempted murder after turning himself in Monday.
