Detectives from the Citrus Heights Police Department (CHPD) have arrested a 47-year-old male suspected in hitting two pedestrians and then fleeing the scene, according to an official press release.

On the evening of November 18, 2012, just after 9 pm, officers from the CHPD reportedly responded to a report of a vehicle striking two pedestrians in the 7900 block of Auburn Boulevard. According to eye witnesses, the impact forced the pedestrians into a business, breaking a plate glass window. Officers arrived on scene and found two victims – one of the victims was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The Sunday night incident broke the window on one of the buildings on Auburn Blvd. and sent one man to the hospital

CHPD detectives reportedly investigated the crime and a suspect was identified. According to the CHPD’s investigation, the day of the incident two co-workers had been arguing. One co-worker called her husband, who responded to the area to confront the victim. The husband, later identified as suspect Anthony Robinson, located the victim standing in front of a closed business suite. According to CHPD, Robinson intentionally ran his vehicle into the victim and a second unrelated male, and then left the area in what was described as a gold SUV.

Robinson, who was reportedly later located at his residence where he was taken into custody, is a 47-year-old black male from North Highlands, CA. The CHPD says the vehicle used in the assault was located a short distance from the suspect’s residence. Robinson was reportedly booked at the Sacramento County Jail without incident.
