Driver shot on northbound 710 Freeway

Late Tuesday, authorities were investigating a 10:15 p.m. shooting that wounded the occupant of a gray Mercedes on or around the northbound 710 Freeway near South Humphreys Avenue in East Los Angeles. Neither the occupant’s condition nor gender was immediately available; the victim was immediately sped to a hospital by Los Angles County Fire Department paramedics.

The northbound lanes of the 710 Freeway were closed for numerous hours after the shooting, and traffic was diverted to the Pomona Freeway.
