Six arrested in Roseville, drugs, weapons seized
ROSEVILLE, Calif. — (Jan. 25) Six individuals were arrested Sunday after a traffic violation led police to an apartment where they found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and weapons.
According to Dee Dee Gunther, Roseville Police Department public information officer, Roseville officers were on routine patrol on Sixth Street when they passed a white Chevrolet Tahoe Sport Utility Vehicle late Sunday night. Officers claimed that the driver ducked down, as if to avoid being seen. As the officers turned to stop the SUV, the vehicle sped away across Riverside Avenue onto Darling Way, swerving and traveling in the wrong lane. At one point, the driver reportedly bailed out of the vehicle and it crashed into some bushes. The driver fled on foot and police detained one passenger. Police followed the suspect to an apartment.
Officers contacted five people, including the suspected SUV driver, inside the apartment. A search of the apartment produced methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, scales and other items associated with drug sales, prescription narcotics, a stun gun, and two loaded handguns. The following six individuals were arrested:
Mark Steven Mikles, the suspected SUV driver, 33, of Norht Dobe Street in Lincoln was arrested on suspicion of recklessly evading a police officer, possession of controlled substances for sale, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possessing drugs while armed, being a felon in possession of a stun gun, and parole violation. He is being held without bail in the Placer County Jail.
David Lenn Devoy, age 45, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substances for sale, possession of drugs while armed, being an accessory after the fact, providing false identification, being a felon in possession of a stun gun, a Sacramento County warrant for drug possession, and parole violation. He is being held without bail in the Placer County Jail.
Amber Dawn Estep, 20, 2990 Spruce Court, Pollock Pines, on suspicion of being a felon or addict in possession of a firearm, possession of controlled substances and possession for sale, possession of drugs while armed, and being an accessory after the fact. She is being held in the Placer County Jail on $35,000 bail.
Justin Craig Moar, 27, of 4921 Paso Way in Placerville, on suspicion of possession of controlled substances and possession for sale, possessing drugs while armed, committing a felony while armed, unlawful possession of prescription narcotics, and being an accessory after the fact. He is being held in the Placer County Jail on $40,000 bail.
Alicia Marie Ammons, 23, of 3266 Cimma Road in Cameron Park, on suspicion of possession of controlled substances and possession for sale, possessing drugs while armed, being an accessory after the fact, and an El Dorado County warrant for failure to appear. She is being held in the Placer County Jail on $17,500 bail.
The SUV passenger, Doris Velia Mott, 21, of North Highlands, was booked on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact, and released on a promise to appear in court.
