Ice cream bandit scoops up cash
SACRAMENTO — Police are seeking any information on a female who is suspected of robbing two businesses in the south area of Sacramento.
Two businesses in the south Sacramento were robbed at gunpoint within a few days of each other. In both cases the suspect is described at a white female in her 20’s.
On Friday evening August, 14 the suspect entered a yogurt shop on the 1300 block of Florin Rd. around 8:40 p.m. and robbed an employee at gunpoint. In one of the photos the suspect seems to be wearing dark shoes and tight dark pants, with a dark hooded sweater.
A few days later on Monday, Aug. 17 the suspect entered an ice-cream shop on the 6300 block of Riverside Blvd around 9:40 p.m. and again robbed an employee at gunpoint.
The suspect is described as wearing a black or blue hooded sweatshirt and had her face covered with either a blue or white bandanna. From the surveillance photos it also appears that she is wearing a baseball cap.
At the request of the businesses that had been robbed the Sacramento Police Department has denied media inquiries in releasing their names.
