LOMPOC — An early morning armed robbery took place at the McDonald’s on North H Street today, during which two masked intruders held three employees at gunpoint and escaped with an unknown amount of money.
Two of the employees were detained in the restaurant’s walk-in cooler while the third was forced to open the safe. All three workers were then placed together in the cooler and ordered to stay.
Approximately 20 minutes later, just before 5 a.m., the employees emerged and notified local authorities, at which time both suspects had already vacated the premises.
The suspects were described as black male adults, one 5’5” with a thin build and the other 5’10” with a muscular build.
Lompoc Police Department officials encourage anyone with information on the robbery to contact either the Lompoc Police Department at 736-2341 or Crime Stoppers of Santa Barbara County at (877) 800-9100.
