Roommate dispute turns deadly
SACRAMENTO — A father and son have been arrested for the fatal stabbing of a Sacramento man inside his residence.
City police arrested 24-year-old Nicholas Koppe for murder on Sunday, three days after Koppe’s father, Christopher Koppe, was arrested for the same crime.
At 1:09 a.m. on Feb. 4, authorities responded to the 2700 block of Muir Way regarding a possible dead body. Officers arrived and located the victim inside the residence with upper body trauma, and responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Officers detained the elder Koppe, who lived at the residence, at the scene.
Based on their investigation, detectives believe that the victim and Christopher Koppe were involved in an argument. At one point during the argument, Christopher Koppe stabbed the victim. After additional investigation by detectives, it was determined that Nicholas Koppe was also involved in the dispute and participated in the actions that led to the victim’s death.
