Pollock Pines man restrained, assaulted female victims
SACRAMENTO — A Pollock Pines man arrested last February for various sexual assault-elated charges was convicted Wednesday in a Sacramento County courtroom.
Shane Wilson, 38, of Pollock Pines was convicted of 18 counts of sexual assault-related charges. Wilson was arrested Feb. 12, after two female victims reported being picked up by a man while they walked on Stockton Boulevard. The victims were taken to an industrial part of town where the suspect physically restrained them. Once restrained, the victims were transported against their will to his residence in Pollock Pines and sexually assaulted.
Detectives developed information that led them to Wilson. Additional DNA evidence located at Wilson’s residence connected him to the crimes.
“I’m thankful to our hardworking detectives and CSI (crime scene investigators), without whose dedication and diligence this case would have never been solved,” said Sacramento police Chief Rick Braziel in a prepared statement. “I’m also thankful to the District Attorney’s Office for aggressively prosecuting this case. This is another example of how excellent investigations lead to successful prosecutions and the cooperative effort between both organizations.”
