Three arrested in stolen vehicle face hit-run charges
A man and two juveniles were arrested when they were pulled over by Milpitas police in a stolen vehicle in Monday night.
According to the Milpitas Police Department, officers responded to reports of a reckless driver on Escuela Parkway at about 11:15 p.m. Within two minutes, officers arrived on scene and stopped the suspect vehicle. An investigation revealed that the vehicle was not only stolen, but had just been involved in a hit-and-run incident in which the driver had plowed over a median, damaging some landscaping, police said.
Officers arrested 18-year-old Ronald Warner and two 15-year-old boys at the scene. Authorities say the car, a white 1999 GMC Suburban, had been reported stolen from the Sacramento Valley town of Orangevale where all three suspects are from.
Warner is facing charges ranging from possession of a stolen vehicle, conspiracy, hit-and-run, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The two juveniles are facing similar charges, according to Milpitas police.
Warner was booked into Santa Clara County Jail on the aforementioned charges and the minors were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall.
