Local Subway robbed at gunpoint; SLO police searching for suspect
A lone gunman robbed a San Luis Obispo Subway on Saturday.
According to San Luis Police (SLOPD), the masked gunman entered the Marsh Avenue restaurant about 10 p.m. brandishing what a store employee described as a small caliber hand gun.
The 18-year-old employee said the robber demanded the employee open the cash register. The employee was repeatedly kicked until the register was open.
Police say the suspect fled the premises once he had the money.
The police are on the lookout for the suspect who is described as a male wearing a nylon mask over his face with eye holes cut out. He was wearing what appeared to be a letterman style jacket that had light colored sleeves and a dark/black body.
The San Luis Obispo Police Department is currently investigating this incident. Anyone with information regarding this robbery is urged to contact the SLOPD.
