Vehicle stop nets stolen property, burglary tools
A 37-year-old Paso Robles woman was arrested on Tuesday afternoon around 12:41 p.m. for possession of stolen property and burglary tools.
Sabria Ann Echevarria was taken into custody by a San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s north station deputy during a routine traffic stop for a missing vehicle license plate.
Echevarria was allegedly found with stolen property and burglary tools. The stolen property consisted of stolen mail from victims in rural Paso Robles, which is outside the jurisdiction of Paso Robles Police.
According to a sheriff’s press release, the mail that was found by the deputy on the scene was not addressed to the vehicle’s driver. As many as seven residents in the rural Paso Robles area have been identified as victims of mail theft.
Echevarria was also cited for driving with a suspended license. She was placed in custody in San Luis Obispo County Jail where she remains. Echevarria’s bail was set at $22,000.
