Vallejo police recover six stolen vehicles, arrest one
Vallejo police arrested a man on suspicion of being in possession of a stolen car, and recovered five other stolen vehicles on Saturday.
According to Vallejo Times Herald, 27-year-old Kristopher Beazley was arrested after police were following a car he was reportedly driving. The car, a Saturn, was reported stolen out of Oakland.
Police began following the vehicle at about 8:00 a.m. when the driver drove into a Motel 6 parking lot located at 597 Sandy Beach Road.
Beazley was seen running from the vehicle while it was still in motion, but an officer ran after him and was able to detain him. The car, traveling at a low speed, continued to move until it was stopped by a parked vehicle. No damage was reported to the either vehicle.
Beazley was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail, according to Vallejo Times Herald.
At 3:15 p.m., approximately seven hours later, police responded to another report of a stolen car from an auto body shop on Sonoma Boulevard. The vehicle, a Chevy El Camino was reportedly stolen while it was being repaired, according to Vallejo Times Herald. The driver of the car was seen turning onto Ohio Street, but lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into two parked cars.
According to Vallejo Times Herald, witnesses told the police they saw two black male juveniles run from the car. The suspects were not found by police. Four other stolen vehicles were reported to have been found parked on the street unoccupied.
