Two arrested for possession of stolen property, narcotics
Police link suspects to five locations in county
Two suspects were arrested by the San Luis Obispo Special Enforcement Team and Investigations Bureau this morning after detectives served a pair of search warrants. The first warrant was served at a residence at 1821 Morro Street in San Luis Obispo.
According to a press release from SLOPD, after detectives recovered numerous items of stolen property during their search of the premises, two transients, Courtney Vail Cardoza, 36, and Ryan Oray Krebs, 35, were arrested. Detectives say many of the recovered items had recently been reported stolen from residential, commercial and vehicle burglaries. Officers also discovered illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia at the residence.
A second search warrant, according to the press release, revealed additional items of stolen property and illegal drugs from a storage facility being rented by Cardoza on Santa Fe Road. Detectives say they have identified stolen property from five locations in SLO, as well as one location in Atascadero and another in Paso Robles.
The investigation, according to SLOPD, involving Cardoza and Krebs is ongoing and they are asking anyone with information regarding recent criminal activity to call the San Luis Obispo Police Department at 781-7317.
Cardoza was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, possession of concentrated cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail is set at $20,000.
Krebs was booked at county jail for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Krebs also was booked on two outstanding warrants. His bail amount is set at $85,000.
