Police bag alleged molester
A civilian employee at Camp Roberts was arrested today for allegedly committing lewd acts with children under 14.
In a joint effort, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) team detectives and city of Paso Robles Police investigators completed an investigation into the allegations that began in October 2011.
Johnny Manuel Flores, 47, of San Miguel was taken into custody at his workplace and charged with multiple counts of child molestation after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
According to a sheriff’s press release, it is alleged Flores befriended the parents of his victims and then molested their children. According to a sheriff’s press release, the incidents occurred in San Miguel and Paso Robles.
Paso Robles Police first learned of an alleged incident last October while a separate investigation began in November in rural San Miguel, which is Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction.
Flores in being held on $1,000,000 bail in San Luis Obispo County Jail.
