Vacaville police arrest teen on suspicion of concealing a firearm
Vacaville police arrested a teen Monday morning while patrolling a high-crime area.
According to the Daily Republic, police arrested 19-year-old Viante Renfrow of Vacaville while patrolling an apartment complex on Travion Court.
Officers Steve Carnahan and Bee Xiong spotted Renfrow while walking around the back parking lot of the apartments. Renfrow drove up with two passengers in the vehicle and parked in the lot. He then walked to the trunk of the vehicle. It was at this time the officers noticed a partially concealed handgun in the front of his sweatshirt.
Carnahan and Xiong approached Renfrow a short time later, showing him their guns and taking his gun from him, according to the Daily Republic.
The two passengers within the vehicle were also handcuffed and taken to the police station, but were later released. Renfrow was booked in jail for suspicion of felony possession of a loaded concealed firearm.
