Police find homicide victim behind home in Fairfield
Fairfield police are reporting the city’s sixth homicide after a woman was found to be deceased behind a Fairfield home on Saturday.
According to the Daily Republic, the woman was found with stab wounds Saturday morning on the 800 block of Fourth Street. The woman is estimated to be between 18 and 20 years old. No further information was made available about the woman as of Saturday.
According to the Daily Republic, police are withholding the name of the woman until her family can be contacted. Further reports including time and cause of death have yet to be determined by the coroner.
The city’s previous five homicides have all been connected to shootings that occurred. Police are investigating possible motives and suspect information.
