Sacramento Detectives Need Help Identifying Homicide Victim
Homicide detectives for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man found dead in Wilton earlier this week.
According to a press release issued by the Sheriff’s Department, on Monday, April 2, shortly after 1:30 am Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Riley Road and Dillard Road after receiving a call of a man lying in the road. Upon arrival, deputies reportedly discovered an adult male who had sustained several gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff Department’s press release describes the victim as a Hispanic male in his late 20s to late 30s, 5’5” tall and weighed approximately 150 to 160 pounds. He had short dark brown hair, brown eyes, a moustache, a mole near his right cheek, and a scar on the inside of his left arm near his bicep. When discovered, the victim was reportedly wearing blue “Raider” brand denim shorts with a brown leather belt over a pair of “Joe Boxer” underwear, but no other clothing.
The Sheriff’s Department released a composite sketch on April 4 in the reported hopes that someone will recognize the victim and provide his identify to detectives to help with the investigation.
