Fairfield man arrested in suspicion killing teen
A Fairfield man wanted in suspicion of killing a teenager last month was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Humboldt County.
According to the Daily Republic, Warren Herman Sloan III, 41, was arrested by Fortuna police after being seen walking down a street in the city. The suspect was arrested without incident. Police searched the motel room and home that Sloan was staying in while in Fortuna.
According to the Daily Republic, Fortuna police began working with members of the U.S. Marshals Service and Humboldt County sheriff deputies to locate Sloan after being notified by Fairfield police that Sloan may have been in the area.
Sloan is suspected of killing Cheynah D. Watson, a 19-year-old Fairfield woman. Watson that was found stabbed to death behind a home on the 800 block of Fourth Street in Fairfield on March 31.
According to the Daily Republic, Sloan was transported to Fairfield and booked into the Solano County Jail on Thursday. He is currently being held without bail.
