Trio arrested for allegedly breaking into Milpitas vehicles

Milpitas police this week arrested three Fremont residents for a variety of charges including auto burglary.

According to authorities, officers responded to a report of three suspects with flashlights peering into vehicles in the area of Greentree Way and Fallen Leaf Drive just after 4 a.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, they located and detained 18-year-old Alex Drobot, 21-year-old Marlon Nathaniel, and a 16-year-old juvenile, who had been walking into driveways of homes on the street. The trio matched the descriptions provided by the reporting resident.

Police say further investigation revealed that the suspects had flashlights and a number of cellular telephones, an iPod, and other items believed to have been stolen from various vehicles in the area. A check of the neighborhood turned up seven vehicles that had been burglarized. At least three more were later reported to have been burglarized. Several victims of the burglaries identified stolen items that had been in the suspects’ possession.

Drobot and Nathaniel were booked into Santa Clara County Jail on seven counts of auto burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, prowling, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The juvenile was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for seven counts of auto burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, and prowling.
