Vallejo police arrest two men at a local motel
Vallejo police arrested two men within two hours of each other at a local motel on Saturday.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, officers were patrolling an area near Sonoma Boulevard and Tennessee Street at about 1 p.m. when they approached Thomas Tires, 50, of Vallejo.
Tires, who was in front of Travelers Inn on Tennessee Street, ran from the officers. Police reported that about a block into the pursuit, officers caught up with Tires and arrested him on suspicion of violating his probation, according to the Vallejo Times Herald.
At about 2:40 p.m., police returned to the Travelers Inn to arrest Romero Garcia, 38, Vallejo, on a warrant. Garcia allegedly ran from the officers and entered another person’s hotel room. Garcia then allegedly jumped from a window on the second floor into an alley. Police reported there was a 1-year-old child in the room at the time that Garcia entered it, but that the child was not injured.
Police caught up with Garcia while he was in the alley. The officers used a taser on Garcia because he was allegedly combative while police were trying to arrest him. Police allegedly found 4 grams of methamphetamine and pipes on Garcia at the time of his arrest, according to the Vallejo Times Herald.
Garcia and Tires were both booked into the county jail.
