Two men are shot in Vallejo late Saturday, early Sunday
Vallejo police have reported that two men were wounded in two separate shootings that occurred Saturday night and early Sunday morning.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, at about 11:05 p.m. police were notified of a large fight on Expostion Drive and Souza Way in which about 25 people were involved.
Police stated that when they arrived they found a shooting victim who said he was there to attend a party. The victim was a 31-year-old man from San Francisco. The man had sustained two gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was transported to a trauma center where his injuries were deemed to be non-life threatening, according to the Vallejo Times Herald.
Police then received a call at about 1:50 a.m. on Sunday when a neighbor reported hearing gunshots on the 300 block of Campbell Avenue. The caller stated that they hear groaning, as well.
When police arrive, they saw a man on the ground beside a parked vehicle. The man, a 34-year-old Vallejo resident, had gunshot wounds to his upper body and was transported to a nearby trauma center. Police said the second victim’s injuries were also non-life threatening.
Police stated that the second victim said he was walking down the street when passengers of a black vehicle drove up toward him and opened fire. Police stated that the victim was not able to provide any further details, according to the Vallejo Times Herald.
