Vacaville police arrest six in compliance check of sex offenders
Vacaville police arrested six people for allegedly violating the terms of their parole or probation during a Wednesday sweep of sex offenders.
According to a press release, the sweep involved conducting 44 individual compliance checks of 290 offenders throughout Vacaville and Dixon who were identified as being on probation or parole for various sex crimes, identified as sexually violent predators, or that were on probation or parole for various sex crimes that include possession of child pornography.
The compliance check operation led to the arrest of Justin Yomacka on the 200 block Shasta Drive, Brian Hard on the 2000 block California Drive, Jesus De La Rocha on the 200 block of Leisure Way, Roger Calahan at Helen Power and Nut Tree Parkway, Marcus Barbara on the block of N. West Street, and Francisco Lara at Newgate and Stratford in Dixon.
According to the press release, the operation involved detectives from the Family Investigative Response Services Team (F.I.R.S.T.) and Investigative Services Section of the Vacaville Police Department of Corrections and Parole; officers from the Solano County Probation Department, California Department of Corrections and Parole; United States Federal Marshal agents from the Sacramento Division and detectives from Dixon Police Department.
According to the press release, the Vacaville Police Department routinely performs probation and parole checks on offenders indentified to be on active probation or parole. The department additionally contacts individuals who are required to register as sex offenders in the community. Vacaville Police Department has a “zero tolerance” policy while conducting these checks.
