2 men arrested in connection with Emeryville heist
On March 24, Emeryville police arrested San Francisco residents Cleo Nash, 33, and Terrell Trammell, 29 in connection to a smash-and-grab robbery at the Bay Street Coach Store, a high-end purse retailer with a national presence.
According to Officer Brian Head, the burglary, which was captured on surveillance video, showed the men smashing the door of shop and then taking numerous purses and loading them into a SUV said to belong to a friend of the men. Nash and Trammell left in the vehicle after taking $8,600 worth of handbags.
According to a statement made to the San Jose Mercury News, the information Emeryville officers developed led them to contact the San Francisco Police Department. San Francisco officers were able to track down the SUV where they found Nash and Trammell inside the parked vehicle with the stolen goods.
Trammel was charged with commercial burglary and the receipt of stolen goods. Nash, who was detained after a brief foot chase, was charged with the same offenses in addition to violation of his parole.
