Paso Robles police hunt for two armed robbers
Paso Robles Police officers are searching for two armed robbery suspects who held a guest of the Holiday Inn Express at gunpoint in the lobby on Tuesday around 1:51 a.m.
According to police, they received multiple 911 calls regarding an armed robbery in progress at the Holiday Inn Express at 2455 Riverside Avenue. Police say the reporting parties said two armed suspects entered the lobby and confronted a hotel guest there.
Witnesses told police one of the suspects was armed with a shotgun and the other was armed with a handgun. Witnesses also said both suspects were wearing masks, gloves, and hooded sweatshirts to conceal their identity. Police say the suspects were both described as Hispanic male adults, 5’10” to 6’0’, medium build, approximately 200 pounds, and in their 20s.
According to police, the suspects separated and one ordered the guest back to his room to retrieve his valuables, while the other suspect jumped over the hotel counter to locate the desk clerk. Police say for reasons unknown, the suspects turned and fled from the lobby prior to police arrival. There were no injuries during this incident and neither victim suffered any loss.
