Fairfield man arrested for April crime
A Fairfield man was arrested on Friday in suspicion of an armed robbery that occurred in April.
According to the Daily Republic, police were informed that Samuel D. Dominguez may be hiding out at a home on Wren Court. Police surrounded the residence, finding that Dominguez had tried to flee out the back door when officers were at the front door of the home.
Dominguez had been spotted twice by officers since April, but had successfully gotten away both times. He is suspected of being one of two men that robbed another man by gunpoint on the Linear Trail in April. Dominguez was identified by the victim, police said.
After his arrest on Friday, Dominguez was also linked to a November 2011 attempted rape, according to police. The victim of that crime had identified Dominguez as her attacker.
Dominguez was booked into the Solano County jail and charged with felony robbery and assault to commit rape.
