Man with gun arrested at cemetery
Arroyo Grande police arrested a man on Monday after he allegedly fired a gun at a cemetery.
According to police, they responded to the Arroyo Grande Cemetery around 1 a.m. to a call regarding shots fired. Upon arrival, police say they located the suspect and ordered him to the ground. The suspect then walked away and reached into his waistband. After warning the suspect they would release the police K-9, police say the suspect continued to walk away, so they turned their police dog loose on him.
Police arrested Liam Jacy Leboon, 28, on suspicion of possession of a stolen firearm, assaulting an officer, and unspecified firearms violations. They found a .38 caliber handgun on the suspect. Police say they are looking into possible domestic violence and first-degree burglary charges against Leboon. They took Leboon to the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital emergency room to be treated for three small puncture wounds.
Leboon was booked at San Luis Obispo County Jail.
