Vallejo police arrest man after short pursuit
Vallejo police arrested a man who allegedly threatened others with a gun police said Sunday.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, police said a witness called 911 at around 7:45 p.m. to report that a man was seen with a gun and was brandishing it to three men near the area of Florida and Marin streets.
When officers arrived to the area, they saw a man holding a gun who matched the description given by the caller. The man immediately ran when the officers arrived.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, officers set up a perimeter. The suspect was confronted by two officers not long after in an alley near Ohio and Sacramento streets.
The suspect, later determined to be 22-year-old Melvin Jarvis, was found to have an outstanding felony no-bail burglary warrant. Officers arrested Jarvis, who was afterward booked into the Solano County jail, according to the Vallejo Times Herald.
