Boy awakened from nap to find men in his home
Vallejo police are investigating a report of possible robbers in a house discovered by a 12-year-old boy waking up from a nap.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the boy awoke about 12:45 p.m. to find an unknown man standing in the doorway to his bedroom at a residence located on the 300 block of Sawyer Street, police said.
The boy was told to “stay in his room or he would assault him,” said Sgt. Herman Robinson of the Vallejo Police.
A second man also came to the doorway before both men went to other parts of the house. The boy stayed in his room for 10 minutes, fleeing out the front door after the men left.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald it is not known whether the two men took anything from the house, nor did they disclose any weapons. The boy was not hurt during the incident.
The suspects are described as two African American men. One had a beard, dreadlocks and was reported to be wearing black sweat pants. The other man was reportedly wearing a long white T-shirt and khaki pants.
