Vallejo: No arrests made in case of toddler hit by vehicle
Vallejo police are investigating an incident in which a driver struck a three-year-old boy with his vehicle.
According to Bay City News, the boy was taken to the hospital Thursday night after being hit struck by the vehicle, police said. He is in critical condition.
The incident occurred in the 1800 block of Severus Drive at 7:25 p.m. The child, who was reported as living in that neighborhood, had walked into the street and between some parked cars before he was struck by a car driven by a 52-year-old man.
According to the Bay City News, Vallejo fire Capt. Joseph Castor said the boy was flown to Children’s Hospital in Oakland for treatment of serious head injuries.
According to the Bay City News, the driver stopped at the scene and has cooperated with police in the investigation.
Police said the incident is still under investigation. The driver has not been arrested, according to police.
