FBI, Riverside County Seek Plain Jane Bank Robbery Suspect
MORENO VALLEY – Police are seeking a woman that has been tied to bank robberies throughout Southern California, the latest being three banks in Riverside County that were held up this week – two in Moreno Valley alone on Monday.
Dubbed the “Plain Jane” robber by FBI, a US Bank on the 23800 block of Clinton Keith Rd. in Wildomar was held up on Tuesday afternoon. One day earlier, reports that the same woman robbed a Chase Bank on the 14400 block of Moreno Beach Dr. along with US Bank branch on the 12700 block of Moreno Beach.
Descriptions released of the woman describer her as 5-feet-3 to 5 inches, weighing 170 to 180 pounds, believed somewhere between 40 to 45 years old. The suspect also has a possible tattoo on her right shoulder area along with a scar below or next to her right eye.
FBI officials told Riverside County deputies that she has also suspected of robberies in Buena Park, Santa Fe Springs and Whittier. That’s a total of five robberies in a span of two weeks, including four US Bank branches and a Chase Bank branch. She is possibly driving a car that is a four-door silver vehicle with a sun roof.
Her robberies were carried out using written notes and verbal commands, making it sound as if she has an accomplice waiting for her outside the bank, though a second suspect has not been confirmed. In Tuesday’s robbery, a county report confirmed the suspect entered the branch, approached the teller and “demanded money.” The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left on foot. She was wearing a turquoise colored short-sleeved shirt and a floor length multi-colored skirt. Surveillance cameras caught the suspect during her robbery in Wildomar on Tuesday.
