Fairfield police arrested two suspects after responding to a possible burglary. According to the Vallejo Times Herald, police received a call on Monday at approximately 11:58 a.m. reporting that two men were seen jumping a fence into a neighbor’s yard at a residence on El Basset Court.
The caller, whose name was not revealed, notified the police that the two suspects first knocked on the door of the neighbor’s home, looked in the window of the home, and then jumped into the yard. The caller notified the police shortly after.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, when officers arrived at the home, a perimeter was set up. One of the suspects was seen leaving the home as officers were approaching. The suspect was detained as officers searched for the second suspect.
Officers found evidence that led them to believe the second suspect was in the attic. They used gas masks and a pepper ball in the attic area to conduct a search, where they found the second suspect, Lee Owens, 20, of Fairfield.
Owens was charged with conspiracy, burglary, and resisting arrest. He was booked into the Solano County Jail. The second suspect, whose name was not released due to his being a minor, was booked at the Solano County Juvenile Hall.
