Paso Man Arrested for Making Bomb Threats
A Paso Robles man was arrested Monday by police for allegedly making a false bomb threat by phone to the Walmart located in Arroyo Grande.
According to a press release from the Arroyo Grande Police Department, Daniel Joseph McPherson, 53, of Paso Robles was arrested at his home Tuesday. Police say they worked with Walmart employees along with AT&T personnel to trace the phone call.
The press release stated that the information acquired from the investigation led authorities to McPherson. Police say McPherson’s call caused the Five Cities Fire Authority to rush to the Arroyo Grande Walmart on Monday night reacting to the bomb threat was made by phone.
Due to the nature of the threat, store employees and customers were evacuated. McPherson was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for making a false bomb threat. His bail was set at $10,000.
