Open phone to police leads to three arrests in home invasion robbery
VALLEJO – Three men were arrested for an alleged armed home invasion robbery, police said Friday.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, Vallejo and American Canyon police officers responded to a call of the robbery at 106 Cardinal Lane, at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday night.
Police said the suspects allegedly entered the home where they then held five adults within the home at gunpoint, demanding money, jewelry and other items from the five. Police said the suspects threatened to kill those that did not cooperate.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, one of the adults held at gunpoint called police during the robbery and left the line open for dispatch to be able to hear the robbery in progress.
When police arrived at the scene, they surrounded the home and ordered the suspects to exit the home. The three suspects, later identified as Kenneth Ray Heinze, 25, of Medford, Ore., James Epperson, 52, of Ashland, Ore., and Richard Fondren, 20, of Grand Junction, Colo., complied and were soon after taken into custody. The three were booked into the Solano County Jail.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
