Vallejo man arrested after telling officers he was in possession of a gun
A Vallejo man was arrested in American Canyon early Sunday morning for, among other charges, the suspicion of receiving stolen property.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, officers received a report of an unrelated incident that involved a vehicle theft on Flosden Road at about 12:22 a.m. When they arrived to the area, they saw a man walking in the area that smelled of alcohol, Sgt. Chris Perry said.
According to the Vallejo Times Herald, the man told officers that he didn’t know where he was going and stated that he was in possession of a gun. Officers searched the man and found a 9mm handgun, that police later said had allegedly been stolen. The man, identified as 20-year-old Colm Patrick Briody, was arrested, Perry said.
Briody was booked into the Napa jail on charges of suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon, carrying a loaded firearm and possession of stolen property.
