Fairfield police arrest four, recover firearms during traffic stop
Fairfield police arrested four men Saturday afternoon after a traffic stop led officers to discover several concealed semiautomatic weapons.
According to the Daily Republic, police stopped a vehicle on North Texas Street at Hawthorne Drive at about 5:45 p.m. A search of the vehicle and the passengers in the car led officers to find a semiautomatic handgun being concealed in the waistband of one of the passengers in the car, according to a Fairfield police press release.
According to the Daily Republic, the department was assisted by its Special Operations Team to complete the search of the remaining occupants of the car. The team found three more semiautomatic handguns being concealed where the other passengers were sitting. One of the firearms was determined to be stolen. All of the firearms were determined to be loaded.
Police arrested Blake Johnson, 22, Vallejo, Wade Wilson, 20, Vallejo, Jason Antone, 22, Stockton, and Imran Escorcia, 23, Fairfield for charges including possession of a loaded and concealed firearm, possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, possessing high-capacity magazines, possessing a stolen firearm, possessing a controlled substance and being armed in the commission of a felony.
