Neighbor Stabs Neighbor
San Luis Obispo police have a man in custody after he allegedly stabbed his neighbor on Sunday.
According to SLOPD, officers responded to Madonna Road Apartments, located at 1564 Madonna Road, for a reported stabbing that had just occurred.
Police say the suspect, Milton Flores, 30, of San Luis Obispo and the victim Jose Raul Garcia Jr., 27, also of San Luis Obispo are neighbors and had a verbal argument over a civil issue.
At the end of the argument, Flores assaulted Garcia with a knife.
Police say Garcia’s mother Maria Tafolla, 45, also of San Luis Obispo attempted to intervene and she was subsequently stabbed in the hand with the knife.
Tafolla was transported to the hospital and treated for her injuries receiving several stiches. Neither Flores nor Garcia were injured in the incident.
Flores was transported to San Luis Obispo County Jail and booked for assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $25,000.00.
