Two Men Caught with Stolen Walmart Televisions
Deputies of the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s office arrested two men for allegedly stealing two televisions from Walmart on Saturday.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were on routine patrol in a sheriff’s unit and took to foot patrol in the area of the river bed near the Niblick Bridge in Paso Robles.
Deputies say while in the river bed the deputies saw two men around 11 a.m. near a Walmart shopping cart that contained two 32-inch televisions that were still in the boxes.
Deputies arrested Thomas Hess, 37, and Daniel Becker, 26, for burglary.
Deputies say they also found camping gear and shoes in the cart.
Investigators say all of the items appeared new and deputies subsequently contacted Walmart and was informed the property was stolen.
A review of the security video revealed Hess and Becker worked in concert to commit the burglary.
They were both arrested for burglary and conspiracy
