Four arrested in Northridge murders
Four suspects were arrested in connection with four Northridge murders, announced LAPD Chief Charlie Beck in a December 4th press conference. 31-year-old Ka Pasasouk, 30-year-old Howard Alcantara, 30-year-old Donna Rabulon, and 31-year-old Christina Neal were all arrested on December 3rd after fleeing to a Las Vegas casino.
“Investigators have worked around the clock since the murders and were able to develop information and leads that pointed them in the direction of four individuals implicated in the heinous crime that took the lives of the four victims,” said Chief Beck.
According to an LAPD press release, authorities first became aware of the murders on December 2nd, when patrol units responded to a 911 call about a shooting at 17441 Devonshire Street in Northridge. When officers arrived, they found the four victims dead from gunshot wounds on the side of the house.
Investigators determined that the victims were visiting friends at the residence when they were confronted by the suspects and fatally shot. After developing information that the suspects were in Las Vegas, the LAPD teamed up with the Henderson Police Department, the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, and the FBI to locate the suspects and arrest them without incident at the Silverton Hotel and Casino.
Pasasouk of Los Angeles was arrested for murder, while Alcantara of Glendale was arrested for robbery and aiding a felon. Rabulan and Neal, both of Los Angeles, were also arrested for aiding a felon. All four are being are held in a Nevada jail until they can be extradited to Los Angeles.
The quick turnaround can be attributed to the sheer amount of man hours worked by the LAPD: 16 detectives worked 43 hours to apprehend the murder suspects two days after the crime was committed. The LAPD also gave thanks to the Henderson Police Department for their assistance in processing the Las Vegas crime scenes.
Investigators continue to work on the case and much work is yet to be done. Investigators are still seeking information on this case and ask that anyone who may have information about these murders or the suspects who have been arrested, to contact Robbery Homicide Division at 213-486-6850.
