East Stockton Church Burglarized
Church Responds With Grace, Forgiveness
STOCKTON – The congregation of Shiloh Delta Valley Church faces the Christmas season with their faith and goodwill challenged by thieves who broke into their new location and stole $20,000 worth of equipment. In addition, they also spent the effort to trash the building.
Rev. Jerry Cook is the pastor of the church. He reports that the church’s PowerPoint projector, piano keyboard, soundboards, computers, as well as their sugar and cleaning products were all removed from the building.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office has obtained video surveillance from a business near the church. It shows thieves entering the church around 7:00 PM on December 4th and leaving seven hours later. A car arrived and picked up the perpetrators.
This Saturday, the 22nd, the church will go on with its free community Christmas turkey dinner. If you have any information that could help solve this crime, please call the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Tip Line at (209) 468-5045.
