SANTA MARIA – Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for shooting an unoccupied car multiple times on New Year’s Day.
Early New Year’s Day, officers responded to a call that a vehicle in the 800 block of West Donovan had been shot numerous times. Upon arriving at the scene, just before 8:30 a.m., police discovered the victim’s car had multiple bullet holes in it, and officers also found numerous shell casings nearby.
No individuals were struck during the Jan.1 shooting and no other victims have been identified in the incident, police said.
The case is still under investigation, and police aren’t revealing the identity of the person whose vehicle was damaged in the incident.
