Hide and Seek Ends Quickly for Bank Robbery Suspects Hiding in Attic
Stockton- Two men who are suspected of robbing a Bank of the West this past Friday have been arrested by Stockton Police.
Darnell Howard, 21, and Dominique Thomas, 20, were arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor and robbery. Howard also faces separate charges of false information to a peace officer and possession of a controlled substance while in prison.
Last Friday, Howard and Thomas robbed a Bank of the West branch in Stockton on West March Lane, fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
That same Friday, the investigation led officers and a SWAT team to a home in the 5200 block of Riverbrook Drive. Initially, the suspects refused to exit the home. Officers responded by sending the SWAT team into the residence, where they found the two suspects hiding in the home’s attic.
Howard and Thomas were later booked into the San Joaquin County Jail the following Saturday morning and are being held with no bail allowed.
Investigators are looking for other possible suspects who may have been involved in the bank robbery. Anyone with information is asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377.
