Mother Arrested For Murder
She walked into the station and confessed
SEASIDE—For the second straight week Monterey County authorities are dealing with the death of a baby. 39-year-old Seaside resident Jennifer Cecelia Warren walked right into the Seaside Police Department and confessed on Friday afternoon to murder.
Warren confessed to killing her infant child two years ago and hiding the body near her residence on the 1200 block of Judson Street. Seaside Police Officer. as well as the Monterey County Coroner’s Office, responded to the scene and recovered the remains of a significantly decomposed human body. They collected all the remains for analysis.
“The body of the infant was found in a plastic container in a crawl space behind her home,” Seaside Police Commander Judy Stradan said.
At about 9 p.m. Ms Warren, the child’s mother, was arrested for causing the infant’s death. She was booked into the Monterey County Jail and booked on the charge of murder. She was booked on 187(A) that reads,”Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being or a fetus, with malice forethought.”
“Ms. Warren came into the police station to initially report some suspicious activity,” Stradan added. ”Then statements about a dead body behind her house were made, but she wasn’t distraught in fact she was calm.”
