Battery and Assault for a Broken Heart
Sometimes dating relationships don’t end “happily ever after.” Some people don’t want to part ways peacefully. Iuta Pittman, 29, from Guala, for example, came to her former date’s home a little past midnight, apparently seeking revenge.
It happened on Friday, April 19 early in the morning. Very early, in fact. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s officers say they received a call at 1:00 am reporting that there was an assault at the 40000 block of Seaside School Rd. The officers responded to the home where they met with two victims: one whose name is not announced, and 42-year-old Sharla David. The officers learned that Pittman forced her way into the home and assaulted both. Nobody required medical attention and Pittman fled.
She was found and arrested after deputies were granted an Emergency Protective Order. According to the Sheriff’s press release, she was “served with the court order and lodged at the Mendocino County Jail” for domestic violence, assault and battery, with her bail set at $25,000.
