Man Posing As Teenage Model Photographer Arrested
MURRIETA – A Murrieta man was arrested and charged with committing a lewd act with a minor and arranging a meeting with a minor with the intention of committing lewd acts. Police arrested Zamurd Khan, 27, after he allegedly posed as a photographer looking for teenage models. According to the Murrieta Police Department, Khan met a 17-year-old girl through social media. During their first meeting, he proceeded to conduct lewd acts with her.
Immediately following the encounter, the 17-year-old reported the incident to police. Detectives began to monitor her communications with Khan. Khan was aware of the victim’s age as stated in their police report. A week later, Khan attempted to arrange a second meeting for sex. When he arrived to meet the girl again, police arrested and booked him into the Southwest Detention Center in French Valley on Thursday. Detectives searched his residence in Murrieta following his arrest. Records indicate Khan was released the next day on $5,000 bail.
