SANTA MARIA – Two men have been arrested for attempted murder for a stabbing that occurred Sunday evening in the 900 block of West Morrison.
Police were called to the area for a report of a stabbing, where they discovered two males suffering from numerous stab wounds. One victim was taken to Marian Medical Center for treatment, while the other was transported by CALSTAR to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara.
Officers later arrested Santa Maria residents Michael Anthony Uvalle, 22, and Rodolfo Perez, 21, for the April 28 gang-related stabbing of two unidentified victims, authorities said.
Both men were booked at Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder for the alleged gang fight that took place just after 9:30 p.m., police said.
The victims sustained substantial injuries during the alleged gang fight and were listed in stable condition, according to police.
